Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition Project

D&D logo

I have been playing D&D since 1980. I have always love the game and 4th edition is no exception. I think for the most part 4th edition has been vilified because it is not 3.5 or 3.5. 2. Now I love 3.5 and still play it quite a bit. But Wizards of the Coast made a conscious decision NOT to do 3.5.2. They gave that right to everyone else and Paizo has done a great job with Pathfinder. Crafty Games has done an even better job with Fantasy Craft but with less recognition.

Why am I telling you something you already know?

I am telling you this because I am going to be focusing on 4th edition as if it were a brand new release. I want people to have a chance to be as excited as I was when it first came out. I want to cover all of the releases in order. I want to share the unique and wonderful things that are included with 4th edition.

I will not be a “Fanboy” exactly, but I will be covering it in a fair but positive light. So if you are a 4th edition hater I may change your mind. If you have never looked at 4th edition I hope to give you a good look at it. If you have been avoiding it I know I can convince you to at least look at the core books.

How will this work?

I will write a blog a week at least(Hopefully) until I am done. I have been spending most of my time in Web Design class and I need a distraction and to write about something I enjoy.

Why This?

I wish I was writing about Kayaking or something active but my body, doctors and wife just won’t let me do those things anymore. I am a game publisher who probably won’t publish anything this year because of school. I don’t the hobby to forget me while I am studying. I want to help others enjoy this as much as I do.

So please watch or follow this space. It will help my ego. Just kidding. I hope you enjoy the next few months with me.
